FIWE, or the Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneurs, was founded in 1993 and has been supporting women entrepreneurs across India for over two decades. FIWE has helped many women start and grow their own businesses, and has advocated for policies that would enable their success and economic empowerment. FIWE is also active in the international arena, as a Core Committee member of South Asian Women Entrepreneurs (SAWE) and Secretary General of International Federation of Women Entrepreneurs.

The changing economy has opened up new opportunities for women, especially in the service sector. I often encounter women professionals with management and tech skills who are eager to become business owners. That’s why FIWE offers a platform for women to participate in national and international trade, by organizing B2B meetings between its members, corporates, and exporters.

In the post-COVID-19 world, the New Normal brings new challenges and opportunities, such as Digitization and the Government’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. Women entrepreneurs have to be ready to seize these opportunities.

FIWE is committed to empowering women from all backgrounds, both rural and urban, and helping them live with dignity and honor in society. We have achieved many milestones in our journey of excellence, with constant efforts and improvements in various fields such as women’s empowerment, poverty eradication, sexual harassment prevention, and illiteracy elimination. We are determined to continue our work with passion and dedication.

I extend my best wishes to you all!

Dr. Rajni Agarwal
